One of the best dining experiences of my life. A gracious, stately space (upper floor), staring up at the stars. The most perfectly cooked fish, and great service. Expensive as hell, but so it goes....
I ate upstairs in the formal dining room. I liked the sky light in the ceiling. Food can be a hit or miss.
Order the main course from upstairs, but pay attention to the oyster selection downstairs as you come in. A must restaurant for seafood lovers. The sour apple cotton candy this give you at the end of each meal is always amusing.
A few too many fried options but a fun time and a they serve some tastey oysters.
I made a last minute reservation for a lunch date there, showed up, and was told that they were closed for a staff meeting. Luckily Tocqueville was open. I came back another time and had the lobster roll. It was aight.
