Looks eerily similar to Thomas Keller's Bouchon, and similarly priced, but the food does not cut the Bouchon muster.
delidieux, generalement - but the generosity of beurre in every dish defies comprehension.
Crowded, noisy bistro, but seriously the best mac and cheese and selection of delicious cheeses. Above ground, walk-in cave is basically enough said.
Went during restaurant week for lunch. Mac and cheese was exceptionally good, and I am picky about my mac. Salmon prefix was decent. Chocolate dessert tasted terrible to me. Would have wanted to try cheese platter next time. Would go back again just for the mac.
yummy
nonexistant but very polite service
sweet server but hard to flag one down
cheese puffs to die for
and great trout almondine with haricot vert
and berries for dessert!
also scrumptious French onion soup
skip the bread and eat only 1 cheese puff
and half the giant piece of fish, can still be low carb
add 1 glass of riesling
heaven.
Great wine list. Superb French cuisine. A bit large and cluttered, but worth it.
A bit over-rated, and much too pricey. However, the cheeses are delicious, and the service is fantastic. Would recommend.
