Quote-leftthe best cup of brititsh tea in nycQuote-right

Quote-leftWhy do I always go back? Maybe it's because of the great pots of tea and sticky toffy pudding that swims in divine cream. It might expand the hips, but damn, is it good.Quote-right

Quote-leftThere's a reason this place is always crowded. Yes, it's tiny, and yes, the service is "no nonsense," but the food is spot-on. Teas are lovely. Shepherd's pie, coronation chicken and chicken & leek pie are all excellent. Desserts are yummy if you have room for them. I would love to do the Sunday dinner here one day. Also want to try a deep-fried Mars bar next door at the fish & chip shop (A Salt & Battery). The other shop next door (Carry On Tea & Sympathy) is overpriced but interesting (try Fairway for one if you have a hankering for British candy).Quote-right

Quote-leftmy absolute favorite!! i normally get either bangers, mash (to absolutely die for!!) and beans or shepherd's pie. it's always fun to get a side of mac 'n cheese to split with your friends. yep, it's snug. yep, some people bitch about the "no-nonsense" attitude of the waitresses...very diplomatic, 1st reviewer. i have to say though the ladies are always very lovely to me and the food is constantly outstanding so i will keep going back again and again and again. almost everyone i've brought to t&s wants to return the next time they come 'round to nyc. well done, t&s!!Quote-right

Quote-leftThe service's very no-nonsense, but I love the snug atmosphere and the many different teapots. Overpriced, but good food... I recommend getting the cream tea, where you get two yummy scones and a pot of tea. Yum!Quote-right
